To save lives from Covid-19,

India needs upto 500,000 ventilators.

And we have only 50,000.

1-in-10 Covid-19 affected need a ventilator. Most people in serious condition

die without a ventilator.

Variable Pressure Splitter Concept

Ventilators take time to manufacture.

And we are running out of time. That’s a major problem.

The COVID-19 serious cases need a ventilator for 10 days on average against the typical 2 days for trauma cases.

A lot of COVID affected won't survive due to lack of ventilators.

Who are we?

Some of the brightest tech minds in India.

Our expertise: combine hardware & software to solve problems

Tech Makers

We are a task force of IISc, IITs, founders of tech startups, and employees from Texas Instruments India.

Doctors

We also have the guidance of many Indian doctors and a distinguished doctor from Stanford Biomedical - Dr.Anoop Rao.

Govt. and Corporates

We have the backing of several corporates and the Govt. We have already identified manufacturers in Mumbai and Baroda who can help us with the manufacturing.

Here’s how we are solving this problem:

A variable splitter attachment that will

double (2x) the ventilator capacity.

In less than 2 months.

Doctors dealing with COVID patients in UK and US have noticed that the pressure required to ventilate a COVID patient is relatively low and doesn't vary a lot in the first few days of treatment.

A splitter attachment will effectively cater to 2 COVID patients with just one ventilator while having 90% ventilator functionality.

Here’s how we are solving this problem:

We are making a splitter that will double the ventilator capacity in less than 2 months.

After talking to several doctors in the UK and US who are dealing with COVID patients, we have an insight.

The pressure required to ventilate a COVID patient is relatively low and does not vary much in the first few days of the treatment.

Hence a simple splitter attachment to current ventilators can cater to twice the patients with just one ventilator.

Why will this work?

Our variable splitter can help normalize pressures. So patients with slightly different lung compliance can use the same ventilator.

Compliant Lungs

Lungs of COVID cases are very different from other pneumonia like conditions. Until the last stage, the lungs remain very compliant.

Normalizes pressure

We have a mechanical design that can help to normalize pressures so that even patients with slightly different lung compliance will get nearly equal flow.

Real time Disinfectant

We are also hoping to achieve live disinfection to avoid cross contamination using HEPA filters and UV light boxes in the respiratory circuit.
